10 things no one ever tells you about body wash

Gone are the days when we use to have bar soaps as a priority, let’s admit it that it’s all about the body wash these days. When choosing one, it’s the scent that comes on the top, because who doesn’t want to smell good when they go out?

Body Wash

But it is not only about the fresh fragrance that you should consider before purchasing, there are a lot of things listed below you need to know about body washes.

  1. Body wash and washcloths go hand-in-hand: Using a washcloth can help you in the best way possible to get a good lather. Also, it can scrub away dead skin cells. If you have acne you can try the body wash for back acne instead.
  2. Great for moisturizing: Bar soaps are well-known for drying out skin, whereas a body wash is much better for moisturizing skin because many of them contain lotions and oils.
  3. That doesn’t mean you should skip moisturizer: It’s true that many body washes contain moisturizers, but most of them are not enough to prevent or treat dry skin on their own. If you have a dry skin, apply moisturizer within three minutes as soon as you get out of a shower.
  4. Skip the lather: Stay away from a wash that lathers are a pro tip if you are worried about the dry skin. It is clear that if there is no foam, more of your natural oils are left behind, and your skin won’t dry out quickly.
  5. Do not put it on your face: Body wash means it is meant for the body only. You should not apply it on your face as it may cause dryness and clogging of pores.
  6. Body wash is a girl’s best friend: A women’s skin is generally more sensitive than a men’s skin, so they can benefit most from moisturizing body washes.
  7. A little goes a long way: Taking out too much of body wash is a very common thing, so be careful when you do so. Less is enough, because if you use too much of the product it may feel sticky or greasy if you don’t wash it off properly.
  8. Water temperature matters: When you clean your body, it would be better if warm water is applied. Then, allow a blast of cold water to hit your body for the closing of pores.
  9. It is more hygienic than bar soap: Bar soaps because shared between people is not that hygienic. It is often left under the showers that collect bacteria. So for the germaphobes out there, a body wash is all you need to have.
  10. But it doesn’t get you cleaner: There is no doubt in it that body wash is cleaner than bar soaps but it won’t actually get you cleaner.

Vibe Magazine Is Sold to SpinMedia

SpinMedia, an online publication group of more than 40 Websites, recently acquired the R&B and hip-hop magazine, Vibe.

Spin Media announced buying the rights to the 21-year-old Vibe Magazine. The purchase included Vibe’s print magazine and the related sites, Vibe.com and Vibevizen.com, from Vibe Media. This sale, for an undisclosed sum, reunites the two publications. Before going their own ways, over a decade ago, they were part of the same company, Vibe/Spin Ventures.

After Buzz Media bought Spin last summer, it shut down the print publication of the magazine and let go a third of its staff. Since that move, their traffic has doubled, but Steve Hansen, Spin Media’s chief executive said the company is no closer to reissuing the magazine in print and that later this year it would probably shut down Vibe’s print magazine.

[rb_quote]We are still trying to find a print model that makes economic sense in the digital age, Hansen said.[/rb_quote]

In 1992 Quincy Jones and time Warner founded Vibe focusing on hip-hop and R&B music. It became one of the most influential culture publications. Vibe’s sites now have 1.4 million visitors and serve 1.6 million video streams monthly.…

I’ll never dance, sing or be an ultimate musical legend & icon like MJ but he didn’t know anything about side chaining so it all balances out” tweeted Calvin Harris after surpassing Michael Jackson’s UK chart record for most Top Ten Hits to come from one album, with his track: I Need Your Love.

The song which has already stacked thousands upon thousands of plays across the World Wide Web gathered a lot of attention on Twitter, and will only continue to grow bigger as days pass. Presented, is a simple story of young love: a couple (Calvin Harris & Ellie Golding) enjoying every second possible of life with each other. The story seems to be set in Miami, due to a lot of sunny beaches, and vivid street ways showcased in the Music Video.

With this being the eighth chart-topping single off Calvin’s album 18 Months, there is no telling what good vibes the man will put out next, only time will tell.…

“Your friendly neighborhood baritone,” Chali 2NA, has been keeping busy. He is releasing a book that showcases his art in conjunction with 5 new EPs showcasing different genres of music:

Low End Theory

Named after the groundbreaking 1991 Tribe Called Quest album, Low-End Theory is home to the Project Blowed crew. Incidentally, the Blowedians grew out of the Good Life Cafe, which I wrote about a few days ago.

Low-End Theory has its roots in Los Angeles, but it’s going global. It began in October 2006, at The Airliner in downtown Los Angeles, and has since spread to both San Francisco and Japan.

The schedule is as follows:

Los Angeles – every Wednesday night (18+)

San Francisco – the first Friday of every month (21+)

Japan – quarterly (Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, Himeji)

Wednesday nights in Los Angeles, Low-End Theory features residents Daddy Kev, Nobody, Gaslamo Killer, D-Styles, and 2007 Scribble Jam champion Nocando. For those keeping track, that was the second-to-last year of true impromptu battle rap — before it turned into several weeks preparation, pre-written, A cappella. It basically went from UFC to WWE, and Nocando was one of the last champions of the real deal.

If you’re even remotely near any of the above locations, check out Low-End Theory for some raw Hip-Hop.…

It is a tragic shock to learn about the death of 90’s hip-hop icon, Chris Kelly, best known for his role in the rap duo Kris Kross. He was 34 years old when pronounced dead yesterday at 8 p.m.

The cause of death has not been determined and no more details have yet been released.

The duo, which also included Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith, is best known for the for the multi-platinum album Totally Krossed Out, which featured their hit record “Jump.”

The artist’s mother, Donna Kelly Pratte, and So So Def released a joint statement Wednesday night saying:

“It is with deep sadness that we announce that our beloved Chris Kelly has passed away on May 1. To millions of fans worldwide, he was the trendsetting, backward pants-wearing one-half of Kris Kross who loved making music. But to us, he was just Chris – the kind, the generous and fun-loving life of the party. Though he was only with us a short time, we feel blessed to have been able to share some incredible moments with him. His legacy will live on through his music, and we will forever love him.”…

The Roots “Things Fall Apart” Goes Platinum After 14 Years

Gimmicks fade. Timeless music endures.

The Roots “Things Fall Apart” may have taken 14 years to reach platinum status, but there is something to be said for the continuing relevance of this album. If we think of it on a graph, a lot of music spikes right up to platinum status, then the artists disappear. The Roots have had a slow and steady rise.

I still remember the release of Illadelph Half-Life. Ital (The Universal Side) ft. Q-Tip absolutely gave me chills. That was my introduction to The Roots, and I’ve never tired of them. I’ll tune in to Jimmy Fallon just because I can’t get over how odd and cool their residency is.

It’s always so inspiring to see true and unique talent persevere.…
